About the documentary

In Uganda’s 2021 presidential election, music star, activist and opposition leader, Bobi Wine together with his wife Barbie, rallies his people in a dangerous fight for freedom from President Museveni’s 36 year regime.

Born in the slums of Kampala, he fearlessly confronts the oppressive regime led by Yoweri Museveni, who has ruled Uganda since 1986 whose quest to seek another term in power prompts Bobi to run in the 2021 presidential elections. Through his music and unwavering determination, he becomes a beacon of hope for the oppressed and voiceless people of Uganda. 
However, his mission is met with fierce resistance from the country’s police and military , who resort to violence and torture in an attempt to silence him and his supporters.
